Lakes Entrance: Yellowed Eyed Mullet are about the Post Office Jetty using a float and worm. King George Whiting are around The Barrier and Nungurner area, best bait being pippies and worm. Offshore at Six Mile Reef for Pinkies and Snapper, with Gummies closer to shore.
Lake Tyers: Devils Hole and above to Nowa for Bream around the 35cm. Flathead are moving about with best results using soft plastics. Toorloo Arm for Bream on hard bodied lures. Pinkies are in deeper water taking prawn.
Mitchell River: Bream are about the Backwater and the caravan park on the river and behind the Post Office, also try Grassy Banks, best baits are worm, prawn and hard bodied lures.
Tambo River: Best spots for Bream are at Whelans and up towards The Cliffs, taking worm and prawn.
Nicholson: The Little Cliffs, Pear Tree and up to Car Bodies are the best spots for Bream on worm and prawn, also try The Strait Six.
Metung: Box’s Creek, Bell Point and the Nungurner Jetty area are best for King George Whiting on pippies and worm, also try around the islands.
Paynesville: Flathead are cruising about Progress Jetty and on to Sunset Cove with prawn, worm, lures and soft plastics as preferred baits.
Hollands Landing: Flathead are cruising in shallow water in Lake Victoria on plastics. Bream are in The Eel Farm, also try Point Wilson, using prawn and shrimp. The surf for Gummies on pilchard and squid.
Marlo: Bream are cruising about the system. Some small Perch are about the groynes. Flathead are also cruising the shallows, with the best baits being worm, prawn, soft plastics and lures.
Bemm River: The river and lake are producing Luderick and Flathead. Best baits prawn and worm.
Tamboon Inlet: From the river mouth and up towards Furnell Landing for Bream around 48cm, taking worm. Pelican Point for Flathead on Gary Glitter soft plastics.
Mallacoota: Good size Bream and Flathead are about the Top Lake and up to Gipsy Point, best results on hard bodied lures and soft plastics. Luderick at the Slipways and Gipsy Point wharf on weed.
Omeo High Country: Cobungra River and the Mitta Mitta are best for Trout with the best baits being worm, spinner and hoppers.
