Lakes Entrance: The footbridge and other town jetties for yellow eyed mullet. Bullock Island is producing mackeral and leather jacket taking pilchards. Up the North Arm towards the winery for garfish taking worm. Surf beaches for salmon taking lures and pilchards.
Lake Tyers: From the islands and up to Nowa Nowa for garfish, bream and flathead. Long Point and into the main lake for bream and tailor taking worm, prawn and soft plastics. Bream are also to be found in deep waters.
Mitchell River: From the butter factory and the backwater area for bream and garfish. Best results using worm, spider crab and prawn. Give the Bluff through to Two Bells a shot as well.
Tambo River: Punt House Point and heading toward the river mouth for bream on frozen prawn. The Lucerne Paddock, Blue Hole and the Cliffs are worth a try.
Nicholson: The swimming hole and heading towards the river mouth for bream with drifting local prawn or under a float for best results. Garfish are also about taking worm.
Metung: The Boardwalk for flathead and at Shaving Point along the sandy banks side of Lake King. Leather jacket are in Bancroft Bay and towards Reeve Channel taking pilchards
Paynesville: Still lots of local prawns about. Bream are around the town jetties taking bread as preferred bait. Lake King around the Shaving Point area in the shallows for flathead on fresh local prawn.
Hollands Landing: From the Lake Wellington entrance to the Strait and all the way up to Hollands Landing is producing bream taking prawn. The rock groynes along the shore line to Loch Sport for bream, mullet and tailor.
Marlo: Both rivers are producing bream, bait of choice being frozen prawn. At the Entrance for salmon and tailor on the incoming tide. The surf beach for salmon and off shore for a mixed bag.
Bemm River: Local prawn and vibes are best for bream. The shallow areas in the system are producing flathead on plastics and local prawn. The surf for salmon and tailor on pilchards, poppers and lures.
Tamboon Inlet: Bream are taking worm in Western Bay. Plenty of king prawns in the lake. The football ground for flathead and trevally on local prawn.
Mallacoota: The surf for salmon and tailor. Fisheries Wharf for tailor and garfish taking prawn and sand fleas. The bottom lake for bream on yabbies and lures. The top lake for flathead on lures. Off shore for gummies and flathead.
Omeo High Country: All rivers are producing good trout, some in the 3lb mark. You may need to work for best results.
