A day in Lakes Entrance on the Gippsland Lakes, see a gallery of images showing the Natural Beauty of Lakes Entrance.
Cruise the GIppsland Lakes, Paddle Boats, Tiger Moths or a Sunset Beach
Lakes Entrance has much to offer for a day trip or an extended stay. With the weather warming up it's time to put on the shorts, slip on the thongs and head out into the great outdoors for a day of adventure and wonder.
I roamed around Lakes Entrance today, camera in hand, with the intention of showcasing some of the activities Lakes Entrance has to offer.
The Gippsland Lakes are a 400 sq km stretch of water, encompassing Lakes Entrance, Metung and Paynesville. Three beautiful towns on the waters edge, just waiting for you to explore them.
There are plenty of Cruise boats, kayak hire, paddleboats and boat hire if you want to get out on the water. Checkout a selection of boating activities on our website.
Tiger Moth flights over Lakes Entrance and the Gippsland Lakes, are available from the airfield at Kalimna, just 5 minutes east of Lakes Entrance. Dave from Bandicoot Adventure Flights has setup camp and intends to be there till the end of the summer holidays.
I met Dave today for the first time, and he's a relaxed happy guy, very impressed with the Lakes Entrance scenery and eager to return for another season.
Next week is forecast to be 25 plus degrees for most of the week, so it looks like our holidaymakers are in for some great weather and many days at the beach.
