As of today, National Parks in Victoria are initiating a Free Camping strategy.

Victoria has long been regarded as an expensive destination to stay in it's National Park camping grounds.

In response to this, the State Government has finally dropped all overnight camping fees on basic camp sites, within National Parks.

A basic site, is defined as unserviced, with minimal ranger patrols and pit or no-pit toilets. These sites will no longer require booking and will be available on a first come, first served basis.
