Lakes Entrance: The Post Office Jetty has Trevally and Tailor on whitebait. Weather not the best for offshore fishing . The surf beaches are also rough with side wash happening.
Lake Tyers: Mill Point is producing Bream and Luderick at the power lines area, best results with sandworm. Luderick are around the 1kg mark.
Mitchell River: Mullet are in the river system taking worm. Bream are around Shadoof Lodge and heading down to the Two Bells, with cut crab and prawn as bait.
Tambo River: Clues Bluff, Howlett’s Flat and to Sardine Flat are the best spots for Bream with prawn and worm as bait.
Nicholson: From The Car Bodies, Tyres and the two Bridges are best spots for Bream with prawn and worm as bait.
Metung: Tailor are in Lake King around Tylers Point and up towards Tambo Bluff, trolling with lures for best results.
Paynesville: Fisheries Wharf is producing Tailor chasing vibes and lures. McMillan Strait for Mullet on worm.
Hollands Landing: The Woodpile, Holland’s Landing and Bull Bay for Bream. Tom’s Creek and Blonde Bay are also worth a try. The jetties for Mullet on prawn, worm and pippies.
Marlo: Perch, Luderick, Bream and Mullet are about and active. Winds are quite strong so sheltered areas are best. Worm being best bait.
Tamboon Inlet: Bag limits have been taken from the river mouth and up to Furnell Landing. Best bait being worm and shrimp.
Bemm River: Best spots for Bream are around the edges of the lake with peeled prawn as bait.
Mallacoota: The Genoa and Wallagaraugh Rivers for Bream, also at Harrison’s Channel, using prawn for bait. Fisheries Jetty for Luderick and Trevally on weed and white bait
Omeo High Country: With cold winds and low temperatures fishing may be quiet, but try Anglers Rest, Mitta Mitta and Livingstone. Use lures for bait.
