Lakes Entrance: Eastern Beach has 3kg salmon taking pilchard, poppers and lures. The town jetties for mullet on worm. Offshore at Six Mile Reef for rubber lipped morwong and pinkies on pilchard and squid.
Lake Tyers: Bream are up at Devils hole, taking prawn and crab. The surf for salmon using pilchard, poppers and lures.
Mitchell River: From the Backwater and down to The Barrier for bream and mullet. Best baits are prawn, worm and spider crab.
Tambo River: The best spot for bream are at The Cliffs, Power Lines, Punthouse Point and down to The Snags, using worm and prawn.
Nicholson: Between the two bridges and the Little Cliffs towards the river mouth are the best spots for bream and mullet using floating prawn and worm.
Metung: Bancroft Bay by boat or on the Boardwalk and the rock wall for bream, mullet and the odd trevally. Also try Chinaman’s Creek and Box’s Creek. Best baits are pippies, prawn and worm.
Paynesville: The Strait for mullet on worm and pippies. Bream are around the floating jetties on worm and prawn.
Hollands Landing: The Rock Groyne along the southern shore at Loch Sport for bream, mullet and tailor on worm and lures. Also try the Strait.
Marlo: Lake Corringle and the Brodribb River mouth for bream and the odd mullet. Best baits are worm and prawn. The surf for salmon on pilchard and poppers. Offshore for a mixed bag.
Bemm River: Bream are still in the lake on worm and prawn. The surf for salmon on pilchard, poppers and lures.
Tamboon Inlet: The river mouth and Furnell Landing are the best spots for bream on prawn and worm. The surf for salmon on pilchard and poppers.
Mallacoota: The surf for salmon on pilchard and poppers. The Top Lake, Wallagaraugh River and the Genoa River for bream and flathead taking yabbies and prawn. The Main Wharf for tailor using a float with prawn as the best bait.
Omeo High Country: CLOSED SEASON.
