Now that the Victorian rally calendar has been published we can confirm that the Alpine will be held on the 27th, 28th and 29th of November 2015.
New Clerk of Course Owen Polanski has said he expects the event to be the best yet with a number of new innovations planned but also making sure that we hang on to all the things that competitors and spectators love about the event.
Long time stalwart of the event is our Road Director Stuart Lister who has already completed the initial course survey for 2015 and reports that the course will cover approximately 500 competitive kilometers.
One of the big changes for 2015 will be the dropping of prologue style stages on the Friday of the event. The one and only stage for Friday will be the asphalt stage around the streets of Lakes Entrance.
This stage will be identical to last Alpine on the road but we expect there will be much more activity and attractions put on by the Lakes Entrance community in and around the stage.
Eligibility will be similar to 2013 but, of course, will also reflect the new classes recently announced by ARCOM. Regular updates can be found here and on the Alpine Rally website in the lead-up to November 2015.
