Little Terns and Fairy Terns have recently arrived at Lake Tyers Beach in greater numbers than have been seen in the past, as reported by the DSE last month.

Biodiversity Officers have been regularly surveying the Lake Tyers area for small Terns over the past few months, and were suprised to see so many Terns on site.

Officers warn it only takes one unrestrained dog to disturb the colony and cause disruption to breeding, or, worse still, abandonment of Lake Tyers for the entire season.
